Potty training and travel abroad

So I've been trying to stall my toddler's toilet training till after we get back from our holiday but it seems he has had other ideas . After days of taking his nappy off and pooing and weeibg everywhere ( in buckets , my pans , etc) and generally hating being a nappy he seems to have initiated toilet training himself. He is 2 years and 4 months . I have a potty where he plays which I bought as saw it in Aldi but wasn't actually planning to use it but the constant ripping off the nappy and shredding it / flinging it everywhere has meant the process has just had to start . So at home he happily uses the potty for a good three days now . He has a travel potty which we've taken out with but he hasn't used yet . When out and about he'll sometimes use his nappy but that's becoming far less frequent now , other times his nappy has been dry as it's been short trips .
We're due to go away in ten days Shock and I have no idea what he will do. I was really hoping not to be doing any of this on holiday ( carrying potty everywhere and him being naked ) as it's a city break rather than a beach holiday . Am reluctant to withdraw the whole process . Any ideas what I should do ? He doesn't use the toilet at all, only the potty .

My little girl is 2.5 neatly and she was potty trained a few weeks ago. She cracked it within about 3 days and I've just taken the travel potty with a handle everywhere with us. I know it seems like a pain but actually it is better than looking for a toilet and we got one of amazon that folds up even with wee or poo in it and you can empty when possible (if you are in the middle of a shopping centre or somewhere)
I have always been advised not to stop the potty training as this can totally confuse them.
Ten days is a good amount of time to get the nappy gone when you go out and really reinforce using the travel potty. I bet by then your holiday won't seem that stressful (as stress free as a holiday is with a toddler!) sounds like he is more than ready to just go without a nappy when you are out and about.
Have a wonderful time!

Thank you ! I saw one of those lidded carry potties in boots today - the ladybird one . I'll go back tomorrow for it and hopefully that will do the trick .
