Reusable nappies, smells like Glastonbury festival :(

Day 2 of us trying out reusable nappies, dear god it smells like Glastonbury festival! Does my son just have exceptionally smelly wee, or am I doing something wrong? Also how do I know which of the million poppers I'm supposed to use to get the right fit?

Oh and the softener in Bold 2 in 1 is cloth safe, it's clay based or something.

Wow putting tea tree on a cloth in the bucket has really helped a lot, thanks! Been adding a little lavender too since I happened to have some.

Anyone know where I can buy tea tree oil cheap? it's so expensive for 5ml at a time!

Try and get the nappies out on the line. Sunshine or even rain helps.

I find disposables stink too - all chemically.

We only use Reusables at nap time now - 7 a week and only wash them once a week and thry don't smell at all - so something sounds off to me.

Get a sanitary pad, add a few drops of tea tree oil/lavender and attach it to the lid of the bucket. Change pad once a week. That will help! Vinegar and drying outside will help the nappies too.

I have to say all the babies I've known in reusables DID smell of wee. Maybe all the parents were fans of the low washing powder method.

Little lamb is quite reasonable I think, given its a big bottle.

Ooh, I just found a 100ml bottle of tea tree for £8.95 on ebay - that'll do it then!
