Dd is 2.3 and for the last few months has been obsessed with the potty and not wearing a nappy. She will regularly take her nappy off and wee/poo in the potty and loves wearing pants. But she wees every 10 mins and for every 3 times she gets to the potty there is an accident. She will then take off the pants and tell me they are wet and want a new pair. (i do keep asking her if she needs a wee.)

I am too scared to leave the house without a nappy. Should I pack up the potties and leave it for a few months? at the moment she hates wearing a nappy. We did try pull ups but she would either take them off or wee in them so we abandoned that. Or should we go full hog and just stop nappies and hope she learns? I cannot see how we can go out without lots of accidents.

Thanks in advance.

If she is wee'ing that regularly, does that mean its only a small amount. Would training pants be enough to prevent the clothes/floor/furniture getting wet. Won't reduce the washing tho.

To be honest think I would leave for couple months less pressure on her and your washing machine . always found pull ups confused my boys .

hi fatty. I do sort of agree and I think we have got into this muddle because we didn't plan to start potty training but dd initiated it after a holiday with her potty trained cousins. I would have to hide all the potties etc. and deal with the tantrums over being made to wear nappies. although hopefully she would get over it quickly and find something new to tantrum over.

Sounds like your options are tantrums or wet clothes !
