reward for using potty?

My nearly 2 year old has just done a wee in the potty

I was so excited I gave him a (rather unhealthy) treat

I've done the wrong thing haven't I

I literally have no idea what I'm doing

We did one chocolate button for a wee, two for a poo.

Did this for the first week of potty training with both DSs to get them in the habit of using the potty, then brought out a sticker chart where they got one sticker for a week, two for a poo, and once they'd got 10 stickers they got a treat (usually a chocolate button - they didn't seem to notice the reduction in treats as the sticker chart was so exciting!)

Kept going with sticker chart until we all got bored with it - by then they were sorted.
