Arrgh advice needed for DD 2.5

So DD is 2.5 which I know is by no means late to be potty training. We have always had the potty out and visible and often have pants off time. In the last two weeks she has consistently been dry at home so we made the decision to start potty training properly. No more nappies, but I we have got pull ups.

She is totally fine doing wees and poos on the potty or toilet, which ever is closest. She tells us she wants to go, but I do also ask her every half hour or so.

My problem is what to do when out and about. She doesn't tell me she needs the toilet she just wets. At PIL on Sunday despite having a potty and training seat she didn't use either all day.

I don't know what to do for the best. Do I stop with potty training for now? Use pull ups when out and let her self train in her own time? I have no idea! DS didn't potty train until he was 3.2 and was completely dry after 3 days, so I have no experience

I'd say don't stop at home, sounds like she is doing brilliantly.

She might be feeling a bit self aware in a house not as familiar as her own home?

It might be worth preparing her, tell her what you expect if she chooses to wear knickers, or she can wear pull ups when visiting people? Not sure what else to suggest!

Good luck

I really don't mind having her in pull ups, but won't that be confusing for her? Sometimes it's okay to pee her pants and sometimes it isn't?

I'm genuinely at a loss. She's so good at home, but seems to completely forget everything as soon as we leave the front door!

I couldn't potty trains without them. I tried the straight to knickers approach and it wasn't happening.

I bought the pull-ups with the wetness indicator and they really were fantastic. Dd loved them (the boys ones in particular) and it really helped her recognise the feeling of needing the loo without the huge panic when out and about.
