Any idea why my DD3.5 only has accidents at home?

Started training DD just before she turned 2. Worst idea ever! There's been many times we wanted to give up as she had so many accidents but her nursery encouraged us to persevere. By the time she was 3 she was rarely having any accidents but 3 months ago I quit my job became SAHM and she goes to playgroup. She's never hadan accident at playgroup or any of the places I take her out and about but will pee herself at home regularly. It doesn't bother her she'll happily go about in wet pants till I notice. Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong? Should I make a fuss/send her to her room when she does it or ignore and hope she grows out of it?? She's still in nighttime nappies and they are full so I wasn't even close to trying to get dry at night.

What ever you do don't tell her off.
Ignore it , clean her up like its nothing. Use a different toile ting style. Get her to choose some nic naks to decorate your toilet. Have a reward chart with stickers for every time she uses the loo.
Because you started her very early you could have trained her by accident that you can wee in your pants in the house. Her understanding of language would have been quite limited before two. You need a good level of language before you can learn to use the loo.
Make loads of fuss about the positive and ignore the mistakes.

Thank you for taking the time to reply Charlotte! I'm going to try everything you've said. We have been making a big deal of the accidents (especially DH) because we were just getting so frustrated because we know she is capable, just being lazy. But it is getting us nowhere so will try the no blame 'oh dear, never mind' approach and rewards and stickers. It will be so much more pleasant for us both! Instead of getting worked up and angry. You are right about the language she was using the potty before she could speak so we may well have inadvertently sent some confusing messages somewhere along the way. Going to work on a way to make the toilet her favourite room so she will want to go of her own accord. Thank you!

Good luck. I hope it helps.
It can take a good while to work but it will happen - I promise ;)
