Going on holiday - what to do about potty?

We are going on holiday soon and don't have much space in our bags. We are also going to be driving quite a fair distance once we get there.

DS is too little for using the normal loo. Wee seems to spill over and I have to hold him very awkwardly.

Is there some sort of ingenious gadget that is a loo seat cover that folds small (or smaller than a potty in any case)? Or should I get a portable potty?

It's obviously fine to use a normal loo once in a while but once we get to our holiday I'd like to not have the only option be the awkward and uncomfortable holding on the loo every time he needs to go. I think that might mess with the potty training a bit and put him off if we have to do that every time he needs the loo for a week.

We used a potette for our girls, great for travelling, on the beach, camping, holidays!
Look in mothercare, I think that's where I got it from, you do have to buy the liners, it folds up after use into a bag, very handy invention.

You can buy a folding toilet seat I think that just goes on normal toilet. It's called ' mummy's helper travelling toilet seat'

If you get potette plus ( I think it is called) it folks out to make a loo so seat as well as being a fold down potty. Used ours for years....

Yes - there are travel child toilet seats which fold up and can fit over an adult toilet seat to allow kids to sit down. Lifesavers when travelling. You can also use a potette directly on the toilet itself so you don't need the liners.
