Trained except when at nursery

my DD is 31 months old and we've been potty training for the last 3 or 4 weeks - she is fully poo trained we just have a problem with staying dry at nursery.

She will always say no when asked if she needs a wee wee but if you ask if she is sure and she needs one she will say "need a wee wee". At home, out and about or with family she is great, really only a couple of accidents early on. So what am I worried about?

Well, she does 2 full days at nursery and every time I get a full bag of wet clothes home with me - basically she goes through every change I send with her. I've asked them if they take her to the potty and they say they do, she just gets caught up in her play and pees herself. Today, again, I even had a pair of thoroughly soaked shoes home.

I've tried at home to make sure to take her to the loo in the middle of some play she is really enjoying so she sees that she can go back to it after doing a wee, and I've talked to her about how its not nice to wee wee in her big-girl pants and she agrees that it doesn't feel nice.

I really am at a loss what to do, without kicking up an almighty fuss at the nursery I'm not sure what else to do. She is a very bright little girl, I know she is aware when she needs to go - she just doesn't seem to want to stay dry when she is at nursery.

Any thoughts?

No thoughts, but I am experiencing EXACTLY the same thing at the moment and it is driving me wild. Will hope someone wiser comes along to help us.

When a littlen has just become toilet trained they have to really concentrate on understanding the feeling of needing the loo.
When they are really engrossed in play they loose the ability to recognise the signs.
It's very common for this to happen. Nearly every tot does it to some degree.
It will rectify its self.
Also nursery have a different routine to home. Nursery might need to retrain her in nursery. Also ask the nursery to ask her twice as you do.
Don't worry it's really early days. It's just a washing pain.

Not a great help - but I suggest you get her some Crocs so that wee can be washed off them easily.
