I was jut wondering whether it would be a good idea to get a travel potty. DD who is 2.5 and doing well with potty training but I worry when we are out and about, especially in the car. If you have a travel potty which one would you recommend? X

I have a 99p potty from asda which I keep in the car together with a pack of disinfectant wipes for long car trips but beyond that I never bothered just asked if he needed to go every time we passed a toilet.

I found them more agro than they're worth tbh. The yellow one that has a lid is rubbish as its tiny, the folding one isn't sturdy enough.

I'd get a cheap potty to keep in the car.

I wouldn't have got one but bought a Potette for holiday and it's actually been really useful. It doubles as a toilet seat which is great for us as he hates being held on but is still pretty skinny so needs it! We've used it daily on the beach and out hiking as a potty, as well as on trains, in the caravan, at relatives', swimming pool, etc etc as a toilet seat.

I'm a convert! It's made a 2 week holiday with a newly PT 2.5 yr old much less stressful! Although it remains to be seen how much use it'll get in daily life. I think the travel loo seat function will still get a lot of usage.

Thanks for the replies, loads of good suggestions. Buying a cheap potty for the car sounds like a money saving idea!
