She doesn't like the potty or toilet, she doesn't like wearingg nickers, or going nudie.

All in all its going to be a nightmare

Maybe she isn't ready yet. Perhaps leave it for a week or two and try again.

She is ready she knows as she wrapped her muslin round her like a nappy and had a wee in it. Little madam

Maybe ready on one level - she knows when she is going to wee - but not ready on another level, if she won't wear knickers or go nude, and hates the potty and the toilet.

If she is that resistant to the things that are, let's face it, pretty central to potty training, it is going to be a very stressful experience for both of you - is it really worth it?

One thought - when my dses were potty training, we used an ordinary potty at first, but then replaced it with a potty-chair, like this one, and the boys far preferred it - that might help, perhaps?

Other than that, bribery is your friend. Offer a smartie for sitting on the potty (fully clothed) whilst you read her a little story. Have a star chart ready, and give her a star for every wee/poo that goes in the potty, and tell her what treat will happen when she gets 10 stars.

There are a number of story books about potty training - I recall this one about a little princess, and if you search on Amazon you will find others.

I really would advise you to avoid stressing either her or yourself out over this - that is usually counter-productive.

Err, if she doesn't like any of those things, why are you doing it Confused? Do you enjoy torturing yourself?!

I have 18 month old twins as well so was hoping to make life easier, she tells me when she goes and when she is done, showed all signs . So though dh off this week we would give it ago. Shw wouldn't have any of it

I think, OP, that girls in particular are pretty clever about this (as with most things Grin). She may well be physically capable/ready but if she hasn't decided she wants to use the potty/loo and wear pants then it ain't gonna happen Grin. The child actually wanting to accomplish potty training is as essential as the ability to do it...you may have to try stealth tactics to convince her that its a good idea then try again in a few weeks.

Regular passing comments such as "ooh, look at x's pretty pants, she's a big girl isn't, she, using the loo" etc (then just left hanging, no further discussion) seemed to help with my DD.
