Could use some advice!

DD is 23 months - I know this is early but my older two (both boys) trained very quickly (within a few days) at 2 exactly, so only a month/six weeks later.

Started on Monday - so today is Day 5. She's had lots of accidents but saying 'do wees and poos on potty!' (so she understands what it's for). Demands to be read a 'big girls use the potty book' over and over. Excited by wearing pants. Also, seems to have the ability to hold it for ages, which is good. (During one accident she even seemed to stop and hold it until she got onto the potty).

Despite all this she didn't seem to be progressing much at all, until yesterday (Day 4) where in the afternoon she suddenly seemed to have a breakthrough. Took herself to potty to do a wee, and a poo! She was SO proud of herself. But after that we had another accident, and then two more accidents today.

We are taking her to the potty every 20 minutes or so, but she only seems to need to wee every two hours roughly. Yesterday I thought she'd made the connection of when she was about to wee, but perhaps not.

I'm just not sure what to do now - after a few days my other two seemed to have completely got it, and she seems a LONG way off that. Everyone said 'girls are easier', and because the boys were so easy I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I don't want to make it stressful for her, but at the same time I don't want to go backwards. How long should I 'try' before saying 'ok, let's do this later'? I had a week in my head, but maybe I should try longer. (I had a friend who trained her little girl really early - at about 20 months - but it took about 2 months for her to properly get it!) Not sure I think that's the best way to go - but then, I'd hate to just 'give up' and go back to nappies!
