15 month old wont keep nappy on, too early to start?

She has started removing her own nappy quite regularly. I cant work out if its just something she has learned to do or if she is doing it if she feels wet?

I havent even thought about potty training yet, not bought a potty or anything but I thought 15 months was way too early?

Is there a brand of nappies that are indestuctable

Should I buy a potty just for her to have a look at and get used to?

Any help or advice would be great dd is my first so im pretty clueless about potty training

I would have thought 15 months is too early. It's all about maturity and bladder control and at 15 months you would struggle to be able to communicate what you want her to do. What about pop up vests, they can get to the nappy to take it off?

Thanks baldricks thats what I thought, shes way too young to understand the concept of it and she still wees and poos quite freely if she doesnt have a nappy on

She does normally wear popper vests which solves the problem but this past week its been so hot and humid I have just kept her in a nappy when we are at home as she is a 'sweaty' baby, especially at bed time and gets really hot and bothered.

Il try and find some thinner, more lightweight vests that she will be more comfortable in and solve the nappy whipping off problem

Tesco do wonderful pull-ups for £3.55 a pack of 22 which isn't bad.i had to get them when my son was that age as he wouldn't keep the nappy on and thought it was extremely funny to remove it in public. Now its a struggle to get him to take it off as he is potty training.

duct tape is a common trick - all on the nappy of course!

see if your mini-Houdini can get out of that.
