Withholding poo until in nappy?

Hi all, my dd has just turned two, we started potty training her at 22 months as every time she did a wee or poo she wanted me to change her nappy so thought lets go for it. We started of on the potty and she took to it really quickly, she quickly did her all wees in the potty, and some of her poos aswell, but the poos werent as good, she mainly waited until she was in a nappy. About 1 month ago we moved her to using the toilet and she just tells us now when she needs a wee and we take her. She is in a nappy still for her day nap and nighttime. She now never poos in the toilet, she has never done a poo in the toilet. We have tried putting her on the potty again and she won't go in there, she will wee if i sit on the toilet at the same time and do a wee! But no poos! We try to put her on before sleep and she doesnt go. We have tried putting her in nappies sometimes in the day to see if she goes for a poo but she still waits Until she is in bed, but tells us when she needs a wee so doesn't wee in the nappy.

Now in the last week she is staring to take off her pjs and nappy and we have gone in to find a poo covered cot! Not nice for her. It's starting to affect her though as she isn't getting enough sleep as we put her to sleep and then have to get her back up to clean a poo, do the nighttime routine again and put her back to bed. She is still up now in her cot. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this? And if there is any advice anyone can offer? Should I try and remove nappies altogether? But she is only one week past her second birthday and always has a really full nappy in the morning as she drinks lots of milk before bed? I would not have tried to remove night time nappies probably until she started being dryer at night, or should I try now? Any help, advice woud help? Thanks
