A "wee" regression

Hoping for a bit of advice/handholding...(have name changed for this as work with families/toddlers and feel I should know what to do!)

DD is 33mths & potty trained (predominately by her own volition) about 4mths ago, but in the last month or so has been averaging at least one wee accident a day (3x today Hmm).
The accidents vary from having left it a bit late so knickers are a bit damp to soaked with skirt/trousers needed changing too (despite nursery's best efforts this seems to have happened every time I collect her from nursery even if the staff have taken her 10mins beforehand Confused).
Have tried really hard to positively reinforce, but am feeling so sad about it (just had a massive cry about it in front of DD which I know won't have helped). The 3rd accident today I discovered after dinner having asked her to use potty pre-dinner & had her refuse (and knickers were dry).
DD is the definition of Miss Independent and trying to get her onto the potty when she thinks she doesn't need to is near on impossible.
A trying to work out what to do, the angry (& as stubborn as DD part of me) has thought taking away a teddy bear whenever she refuses to use a potty would help, but now I'm calmer, wondering if I need to regress with her & go back to giving choc buttons for wee's/dry knickers to reinforce it, or if this would be a step too far back/will I know when to ease off this.

Thanks in advance xx

Hi. I have a little girl who is 3 and potty trained but still has a nappy at night and in the last month or so has also started wetting herself too which is unusual for her. Its improving now but maybe your daughter could have a water infection? Maybe painful to go to the potty hence why she's refusing and maybe suddenly needs the toilet, being why she's wetting herself? Hope this helps xx

We did wonder about a UTI when it first started, luckily I'm a former paeds ED nurse so managed to pop into my old dept and get the all clear on a urine sample! Nil other signs and no pain when she wees, just many things she thinks rate higher in importance!
