Larger potties

DS1 trained at 2.10 years so we were fine with a Mothercare jungle friends potty. ds2 is now 3.4 and tall for his age and he is resistant to potty training but is scared of the toilet. The Mothercare potty is a bit painful for him and leaves a red ring on his bottom as it's too small.

Does anyone know which brands or styles are bigger?

We used www.mothercare.com/Disney-Mickey-Mouse-Potty/376955,default,pd.html and still have one out as there are times when we've two 3.5 year olds wanting to wee at the same time but only have one toilet! As its smooth its always looked pretty comfortable.

We also still have a Pottette plus for emergency car use, that really helped ds with using toilets as it was familiar.

We use this for DS as he has very long legs, with great success. Standard potties were too low and he was very uncomfy on them.

We used cheapest one from ikea for our nearly 4yo ds last year with great success! Perhaps you could try a trainer seat on the loo to make it less scary. Wilkinsons have them usually.

We have this one www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_73_10751_-1_15112_84349_10001_61177
The outer material is soft like a bumbo, both boys have really liked it.

I second the cheap ikea potty, DD is 2.8 but the size of a 5 year old and its the best £2 quid I've ever spent!

Thanks everyone! Will look at all the links.

We have an insert seat for the loo but he is still frightened, I'm not sure why.

Interesting about the cheap ikea one, we tried that first with zero success. Perhaps see if your ds would like to help choose? Might help him get started?

And Poo Goes to Pooland helped us loads!

Sweep, silly question maybe but the white bowl on the pod looks quite small, is it sufficient for poos too?

Inserts for loo feel very unstable I just bought a family toilet seat (check amazon)

It is brilliant, worth every penny and the one I got is so secure and solid I can sit 16 mo dd on it and let go Smile

It is, it kind of positions them just right, nothing has ever missed ( it will tomorrow now I have made that bold and sweeping statement!)
