Hi there

Looking for advice on what type of waterproofing stuff you use on your little one's beds. I have no child yet as I am adopting but my age range is 1.5 to 3.5. I am trying to stock up on essentials prior to matching, I know you can buy waterproof sheets either cotton on one side or terry towelling but I have been told these will sweat the child?? I would of course put these under another sheet.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

I use the disposable bed liners for ds, they are about £3-4 for seven. They don't cover the whole bed, just the bit he is on and go under the fitted sheet.

On my bed I have the marks and spencer waterproof mattress protector (bought when pg because I was terrified of my waters breaking on our brand new mattress). Its really good, it doesn't feel plasticy and I wash and tumble it without any problems. (Not for me, because DS tends to climb into our bed in the morning and then his nappy invariably leaks, ming)

I use hippychick mattress protectors on DS'a cot and dd's bed. They've not been tested hard (we've had nqppy leakage but no bed wetting - touch wood) but survived vomit well. They feel soft and aren't at all crinkley and don't seem to make the children's beds all sweaty.

Hippychick here too.
We've had the full lot - wee, sick etc, and the mattress has been totally protected.
Expensive, but brilliant.

We use Hippichick mattress protectors for DS who is 6, he still wets the bed at least once a week. They wash and dry well. A really good tip I read on MN is to buy two, then make the bed up with protector - sheet - protector - sheet so that in the middle of the night you just take off the wet layer and the bed is ready.

I bought a John Lewis summer weight single duvet for DS which is small enough to go in a normal washing machine and rumble drier which saves on laundrette trips.
