DS is 2.3. We are on day 3. He is very willing to wee when I put the potty in front of him, whether I ask him first or not. I will ask if he wants to and occasionally he'll say yes, mostly he says no, but is happy to oblige. If I don't ask, He wets himself. He seems to wee every 15 minutes, small wees. So he can't hold it in. Not a disaster but not great.

Poos...well, if I see him in time I can catch them. If not he certainly knows the poo is in his pants but is a bit reluctant for me to sort it out.

It's a shame, he starts nursery in September, I would love him to be trained by then, but at the moment I think we need to go back to nappies. We are both fed up of being trapped in the house. I'm 11 weeks pg, knackered and grumpy with morning sickness, and in retrospect think this was not a good time and have succumbed to pressure from my mother. WWYD?

I would go back a stage. Put the nappies back on, but keep the potty out, and ask him at regular intervals, when he wakes, before and after eating. I found this worked with my 3 dc, getting them into the idea and a routine before launching in. Having said that my ds wasn't ready until he was gone 3 and it took ages, whilst both dds did it very quickly when they were only 2.5.

You have got a lot on, be kind to yourself. He will get there when he is ready. Nursery will cope if he is still in nappies come september.

Just an update. Both my mum and nursery said stick with it, they would help. The last 3 days no poo accidents, all in potty or toilet. Wee accidents only 2 ish a day, mostly when tired or excited.
