Need some advice on pull up pants please. My dd is in actifit nappies n hates lyin down to have her nappy done as she wants to be constantly on the move, i have been advised to try pull ups but surely they still have to lie down to have their bum changed - for wipin them and if they've done a poo?? Have read some bad reviews on pull ups i.e they leak and dont fit properly, has anyone else found this out? My dd is18mths old and tellin me when shes done a poo so potty training isnt 2 far off, are pull ups the best nappies for them to be in for the transition?? Also are there different ones for boys and girls?? Sorry to ask so many questions but the internet hasnt got alot of info on this. Thanku.x

yes, they still need to lie down for a change if they have done a poo but not so much if it is just wet. Both mine used pull ups before moving to potty training. They are unisex.

Thankyou. It was the bob the builder picture that made me think the ones I bought were for boys, plus i heard in america they have boys and girls pull ups.x

I used pull ups for ages before potty training as DS only did 1 or 2 poos a day and didn't like lying down. He still had active-fit at nursery and didn't seemed phased by it. In case of poos, you can just rip the sides open (you don't have to pull them down like pants as one of my friends thought!) and I've found them just as good as 'normal' nappies. You can get boys' and girls' potty training pull ups from Huggies, which are more expensive as they have a picture on that disappears when weed in, probably not necessary unless you want to use them as part of potty training.
