Ds has wet the bed twice in te last 2 days, and had 3 accidents during the daytime.
He's been a bit off - not quite himself. Not poorly as such just a bit more clingy/ fragile.

Do you think is they're poorly they're likely to regress?
And how do you handle it?

Confused

well I didn't 'train' as such, so I never had any expectations really. So I'd just roll with it, comfort him, clean up and make no fuss.

Yes they can regress temporarily for all sorts of reasons. The less fuss you make the better I think.

What age is he? How long has he been trained?

Yes, if they're poorly they can regress. I wouldn't make a fuss with that.

They can also do it for no reason whatsoever. Ds did it because he couldn't be bothered going to the toilet.

He is 2.5yo. Training was done in August and by September he was very reliable. We did away with night nappies as he just wasn't wearing in them - he was shouting wee wee in the night or morning instead.

We've been doing Very little fuss so far but might start rewarding again.

Any other ideas - I'm struggling to get his bedding dry! Blush

Goodness I wouldn't be worrying in the slightest.

Ds was after 3 before he potty trained. When he regressed during the day because he couldn't be bothered and I absolutely knew 100% this was the reason, Santa came and took one of his favourite big boys toys away as he was acting like a baby. Was just after last Christmas. He would return it as soon as he started acting like a big boy again by using the toilet. He got it back the next day and relished for the next couple of weeks about what a big boy he was.

As for night time ds is 4 and still in night-time nappies. Maybe my bad but I've tried for a couple of weeks and got fed up getting up in the middle of the night changing sopping wet bedclothes. Besides, it is not something to do with a certain hormone being turned on in their body??

Go down the reward route- stickers etc. I found when dd regressed it was often due to us not jumping back on the ball - ie making a fuss, reminding her etc after the first accident
