Do you have to have a portable potty?

Presumably there is not much choice about this - we have bought a big-ish potty which you couldn't take out and about with you, but what do you do if they say they want to go in the car/playground etc etc?

And what do you do with the mess??! Just use wipes and wrap it all up in a nappy bag??

Very new to this as you can see, I just can't see the practicalities....

You mean they are not doing this out of love for us Ragged?! I know, just hadn't noticed before.

Also use the potette, however rather than using the very expensive bags with the absorbent patch in the bottom we just use small bin bags with a couple of pieces of loo roll in to absorb the wee. Works fine and tons cheaper. We keep the potette in the pushchair just for emergencies, and it has been a lifesaver
