ARGH! Potty Training Hell!

Has anyone else been in this situation?

DD is 3.... Tried to potty train when she was 2, but she was not interested and would not go near a toilet or a potty. Then she went to pre-school, and hey presto, 2 weeks before her third birthday she decided no more nappies and she wanted to wear pants. Cue a week of constant changing and accidents, but after that she was dry.... And going in the toilet! She's been dry for 9 weeks. Pooing not so good in her pants still but that's a whole other story....

Just recently, she has been weeing all over everywhere at home. At pre-school she is dry, and continues to go to the toilet. If we are out or driving she asks to go to the toilet. If she is at a friends house she goes to the toilet. She now, today, has just weed all over my parents house!!!!

What do I do? We know she can do it, so this is clearly behavioural! I've tried shouting, ignoring it and clearing up quietly, naughty step, bed early, removal of toys etc. I can't understand what is different between our house and pre-school/other places. I am 37 weeks pg, and wondered if she's getting antsy about baby coming?

Has anyone else's DC done this?

Any advice would be gratefully received....

At your parents, has there been a lot of talk about the coming baby in front of DD, about how she will be a big sister and have to be 'grown up'? Could this be what is worrying her and actually she still wants to be a baby to her grandparents, and not be supplanted in their affections? This would make sense as she is dry everywhere else where nothing has changed. Sometimes grandparents get a bit over excited over a new baby, forgetting that an older child might feel as if the baby will replace them in some way.

Ahh, good thinking. We have been talking about baby... Maybe that's it. At preschool there is no talk about baby coming, only at home and at my parents.... I think you may be on to something there.

Thank you! Will try not mentioning for a while and see how she goes.
