Weeing often and accidents when in trousers

My DD1 is 2.8 and we are on day 2 of potty training. Yesterday was brilliant with every single wee in the potty but today when we dressed her we put leggings on over her pants (yesterday she was just in pants which she kept taking off anyway) and she has had 2 accidents in a row. Now we have just put her back in pants and no leggings and she is using the potty successfully again. Is it normal that she would be more forgetful of needing to wee if she's wearing trousers? Also, she seems to be weeing very often - the last 3 were only about 5 - 10 mins apart! I know she can hold it in for up to an hour because she did yesterday afternoon. Again, anybody know why she might be going so often? She hasn't had anything to drink since breakfast and it was a medium amount each time. Is it likely that when she goes she's not completely emptying her bladder? It just seems odd to me because when I go I wouldn't have half a wee and save the rest for later!

Sounds normal to me. My DD is also 2.8 and we started potty training about 4 weeks ago. The first day she weed constantly, the next two days very frequently but after that it did settle down really quickly. I think it's because when they're in nappies there's no reason not to do lots of little wees, so they're used to that- it takes them a while to get used to holding it in. I thought it was going to take ages with DD after the first 2 days, but looking back it has been really easy- so I would definitely stick with it.

Not sure about the trousers thing, but I would guess that will come as she gets more control and more used to the potty. Would a loose dress and knickers be an option at the moment so she still feels 'fully dressed' but doesn't have to pull trousers down?

Thank you, I think part of it is that it's a bit of a novelty to keep traipsing upstairs with me to empty the potty out and wash her hands - hopefully this will wear off soon and she'll go less often! And also it seems if she's busy playing then there are longer gaps - she was just out in the garden with DH and she managed 45 mins so I think we just need to keep her entertained.
I wondered whether the trouser issue was because it was so much like being normally dressed that the wearing of pants and using the potty wasn't at the front of her mind so much, if that makes sense? Sitting in her pants she's obviously very aware of not having a nappy on. I think we might try with trousers again tomorrow. The only thing if she was wearing a dress is that I imagine it would end up hanging in the potty - she doesn't want any help with her clothes at the moment.
I think we are on the right track though.
