is it too soon to give up night nappies?

My 3yo has been completely dry every morning for at least 2 weeks - nappies now seem a complete waste of time. I do have another box left so I could carry on but I'm just wondering whether I should just stop altogether?

He was only fully potty trained about 2 months ago (somewhat of a late developer, although he has only just turned 3) and I'm worried that if he wets himself we'll be back to square one but he tells me he doesn't need nappies....

Advice please!! When is it right to take the nappies off as I'm completely clueless... not sure I relish the idea of lots of wet bedding but he does seem ready??

My dd was dry night and day in the same week so it is possible he's ready. Give it a try and see how it goes.

I would take them off if he's been dry in the mornings. I'm just listening to my 3yo upstairs screaming at daddy that she doesn't want a (night) nappy. She wakes up every morning soaked though which is why I'm not taking my own advice!

I'd leave them off - sounds like he's done.
Maybe put a waterproof sheet or extra sheet underneath to catch any accidents just incase.

We were like this with my DD2. She was just dry. Took the plunge with no nappies and a week later she had a HUGE accident one morning. no problem, as waterproof sheet caught it.

3 months later and we haven't even had a dribble out of her. yay - nappies are a thing of the past for us!!!

ds was out of night nappies by 2 1/2 years (trained in the day by the age of 2). I did put it off for a while as the thought of wet beds was not appealing but he was really good and rarely had accidents. Get a waterproof bed protector and have spare bedding handy just in case you need a middle of the night change and then just see how you get on.

Awesome thanks so much for advice (btw apologies for double posting, my computer keeps shutting down and I've no idea whether it has sent messages or not).

I'm out tomorrow night (rare girls night out woohhoo, single mummy heaven!) so think I'll buy mattress cover saturday and try first no nappy night that night.

Still feels a bit like skydiving without a parachute...oh and does anyone else with only one child admit to having a slight pang about missing nappies???? Or does that just make me weird?!! My baby's all grown up...Confused
