Hiya

My daughter is 3 in the summer and is starting nursery then too, and I'd like to ideally be partially if not completely potty trained by then.

She has started taking her nappy off if she has no trousers on or trousers that are easy to take off. Especially at night.

Any tips on where to start? She's very energetic and trying to get her to sit still on the potty is a bit of a mission in itself.

Hey. I have potty training since Friday - so far we have had a lot of success on the peeing front, but nonoe on the pooing. I have had her out of nappies running about and stayed close to home. My dp was off today and she seemed to have a lot more accidents. Not sure whether she's backsliding or he's less diligent (although I have my suspicions Wink) about putting her on the loo/potty.

I put her on the potty/loo about 30 mins after a drink, which seems to work. And I have been putting a nappy on her before bed too.

Each time she has a success, we go crazy with clapping and cheering and reward with a sticker on a chart made by dd1 (13) and she has a little star (chocolate)!

Hiya, I just posten on 'I don't know whats going on' so have a look at that. The reward chart thing definitely worked for me which is what I've written about mainly there but I also sat my little boy on his potty for 20 mins at a time in front of the TV for the first few days to keep him still and that worked so if she has a fave programme it's worth a go. Good luck!

Hi, I think if your daughter is taking off her nappy that can be a sign that she is ready to start. She is definitely the right age.
To get her to sit on the potty, try distracting her with books or maybe playing her favorite music.
As for keeping the nappy on at night, you could try putting the nappy on back to front or pull-ups. Good Luck .
