leaking diposables in toddler doing HUGE wees

Dd is 2.6 and we will be trying potty training soon (when I've bought some potties and rewards!) I have new girly vests and pants ready in the drawer.

She wore reusables as a baby then diposables since 14m or so. Always used Pampers baby dry which were fine. She's not a particularly heavy wetter except at night when nappies really heavy in the morning. Moved on to Tesco version when ds arrived a year ago and nappy bill doubled. Thet have always seemed fine too if a little looser around the legs.

For the last 3w or so she has woken up with a sodden nappy, vest or nightie and sleeping bag. I can't work out if she is producing more wee or if she is producing just one huge wee which doesn't get chance to be absorbed, iyswim. More evidence for this is that in the day she will sometimes announce doing a wee which will go straight down her leg and miss the nappy!

Maybe they are too big? I went up to size 5 thinking of more absorbancy, but she is very slim. I guess it just means I need to get cracking with potty training, but still worried about night nappies as she will still be in these for a while, presumably? Tried Pampers again last night but nappy soaked this morning.

She doesn't drink an excessive amount and am reluctant to cut down on fluids as she gets easily constipated.

Thanks for any advice - fed up of washing bedding every day!

Have you tried Pull-ups? I would say they were more snug than a nappy and are obviously aimed at toddlers so absorption should be good.

Were the reusables OSFA, or did she outgrow them size-wise? My almost-2-year-old always wets through at night, the only solution I've found is to put her in a disposable and then a cloth nappy over the top. So if you still have reusables that fit, that's my advice. It works well.
