Looking for some advice/reassurance what to do… I had a c section 16 days ago, I have been heavy bleeding pretty much the whole time (bright red) I did a fair bit of walking today more so than usual and I have passed 3 blood clots this evening when sitting on the toilet (sorry for tmi) also want to add, there is hardly any blood on my pad but when I wipe there’s loads of red blood… has anyone else experienced this? I can’t go to triage as I have no childcare for my children for a couple of days and have been googling but just sent myself into panic mode!!

Sounds really normal, I bled like that until about six weeks and then lightly until 13 weeks (which was a bit long!!).

My bleeding came and went for at least a month. It was very heavy for the first 3 weeks. I had twins so that might make a difference. Walking would definitely increase it.
How are you feeling in yourself?

Sounds normal but if u have any concerns I'd speak to midwife/health visitors when they check in on baby . They trained for these type of questions and they would have a wider idea of whats in the range of normal

It sounds normal to me, I had a csection and bled for about a month. If I did more activity it was heavier.

Hey, also had a csection and bled for a month roughly. Mine tapered off and got a bit heavier with clots at one point which panicked me but it was nothing to worry about. I them got my period at 6 weeks

The thing I reassured myself with is that it's normal to bleed for 6-8weeks, as long as I'm not filling a pad within an hour or two, and don't have blood clots bigger than a 50p.

Could you call triage for advice? Sometimes they can help over the phone rather than going in, though I know not all midwives are helpful
