This is my second baby, I did have hair loss with my first but not this bad! I thought I had dodged the bullet this time round due to it happening a lot later on but it’s just started. I am actually scared I will become bald because the clumps of hair I loose in the shower are horrific! Never known anything like it.

Is there anyway this can be stopped/ slowed down?! Thanks x

Sounds like Telogen Effluvium.

Nothing but to be done but wait for it to run it’s course I’m afraid.

I had the same issue, was paranoid I actually had alopecia. I started biotin supplements, made sure I took proper BF supplements and iron. Reduced tension on my hair with more protective styling and also had about 8 inches cut off to make it more manageable. DD is 12 months now & my hair is back to being really thick, although it’s so annoying managing all the tufty regrowth!

Completely normal and very common for alot of women. Im yet to meet a .other who hasnt had any hair loss 3 to 5 months PP!!! I even lost it again after stopping breastfeeding but now have bum length thick hair again . Dont worry it will come back ❤️

Things that helped me grow it back/stop it being too excessive were to Check vitamin levels, iron and vit D in particular and even if theyre normal ish take daily supplements still. I added a few drops of rosemary oil into my shampoo and shook it up and i also oiled my hair once a week with almond oil and the rosemary oil in there too. Eat as healthy as possible, lots of nuts and avocado and other healthy fats and at least 2L water!
