First PN Period Confusion

Hello! Wonder if anyone can help.

I'm 11 months PN and still breastfeeding though she's really cut down her feeds in the last few weeks.

Everyone has told me how heavy and awful my first period will be and I've been having lots of the mood symptoms etc so wasn't surprised when on Tuesday I went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was quite a lot of blood. I popped a pad in and carried on, but when I went to change it there was a tiny bit of pink and nothing else.

I've not had any bleeding since.

Is this normal? I assumed they might be all over the place but not a little gush and then nothing!

Mine came back strong with my first pregnancy but second pregnancy I had the same as you. I thought it had started then doubted myself as it was so minimal.
They also took about 10 months second time around to get back to a regular cycle, sometimes I would have one closer to 60 days (but strangely feel pre menstrual when I would be due).

It was my second period after having ds that was the worst, like you my first one was minimal & I was thinking that giving birth had sorted everything out as before I got pregnant my periods were always heavy & painful, how wrong I was, the second on started like someone had turned on a tap, not when expected, I was out with ds & by the time I had found a toilet with a machine, I had blood running down my legs, by the time I got back I was having mini contractions & was going through a super plus tampon & a pad every 2 hours for about 4 days, we ended up cutting our holiday short & going home as I felt so ill & had gone through nearly all the clothes I had taken with me. It took a good 6 months before they settled down to a new normal always being painful enough to interrupt whatever I was doing & having to curl up with a hot water bottle or lay in a hot bath, unknown to me at that stage, I had endometriosis which wasn't diagnosed for another 7 years.
