Breastfeeding pain

DS is now 11 weeks and for the past 6 weeks I have had burning stabbing pain in my left breast after feeding on that side. It radiates pain and lasts hours after the feed. Have been to the GP numerous times, prescribed creams for nipple thrush, antibiotics for mastitis (not sure about this one), pills for vasospasm and steroid cream for milk blebs! It still hasn’t eased.
I want to continue to breastfeed plus baby refuses the bottle now, even if it has expressed milk (started on a mix of formula and expressed milk before going EBF from about 3/4 weeks).
Anyone had any experiences of this type of pain and what finally made it go away? I have been surviving on max dose of paracetamol and ibuprofen and that’s just not sustainable until at least 6 months! Please help!

Have you seen a lactation consultant? They are likely to have much more training on this than the GP. You need a full feeding assessment. Your local NHS might have one (prob via HV), or you can look privately of it's an option.

Did this settle down? I have been prescribed inferiors for vasospasm and it has really helped take the edge off
