Boob job after breastfeeding

Sammie1990 · 18/01/2025 21:08

Hello!
I’ve posted on here a few times over the course of my breastfeeding journey…mainly to moan about how huge my boobs were 😂

my DS is 1 on Thursday and I’ve stopped BF now for around 2 weeks. Very please to say that the HH cup I came to be burdened with are already much smaller. However….my god the sag! I had E cup boobs before getting pregnant so they have never been super perky but this extreme. I have been considering whether to have surgery, an uplift at least maybe a reduction and/or implant depending on a consultation. I just wanted to see if anyone could share their experience of having their boobs done, were you happy with the result and what did you have? Also could it be the case they firm up a bit on their own in time or am I done for 😂

thank you!

I havent had any surgery but mine definitely firmed up over time after stopping breastfeeding. It took up to a year - especially after I lost the baby weight as well. If you only stopped 2 weeks ago, you might want to give it a while and see how you feel then.

I have had a reduction and lift before baby - and put it this way - I’m planning on doing it again 😂
Chuffed with the results. But I’m waiting until I lose the baby weight first

I had a lift and implant after bf two children, best decision I ever made.

TealOP · 22/01/2025 18:01

I didn’t need a lift but had implants after bf my two for over a year each. My shape was fine but I lost a lot of volume. Had teardrop shaped implants and they’re amazing. Back to my pre pregnancy size (FF) and you can’t tell they’ve been done. 10 years on they still look fab. I’d get a consultation to see what’s recommended for you and choose a reputable clinic if you want to proceed.

I'd leave it a while. Mine were much better after a while.

Does anyone have recommendations for surgeons for a boob job pls

maggs100 · 28/02/2025 12:03

Hi there , is there any recommendations for a surgeon for a breast augmentation, I’m finding it hard to find anyone that’s not just in Harley street and cost a fortune .

TealOP · 28/02/2025 17:06

I used Spire Healthcare. They have hospitals all over the country and my Consultant was great. Hospital was like a spa hotel with lovely food and staff.
If you pay for a consultation (about £150) they’ll show you their previous work, tell you what results you could expect, prices and the risks. I tried a couple of different ones and felt most comfortable there.

I breast fed consecutively for 6 years and by the time I stopped they certainly looked and felt saggy (for want of a better word) and I was really self-conscious.

Having any kind of cosmetic surgery wasn’t an option so I thought I’d have to live with the outcome, but after about a year they were pretty much back to how they’d always been!! In fact they looked AMAZING!

That was 3 years ago and they still look amazing, I can’t even put into words how different they look and feel compared to their appearance when I stopped breastfeeding.

I wouldn’t rush into anything and perhaps reassess in 12 months.

While pregnant and breastfeeding alot of the fat in your boobs has disappeared to make room for the milk ducts. After stopping it can take a year for the milk ducts to shink again. That being said I'm starting a saving pot for this exact reason I've breastfed four kids and my boobs are a mess.

TealOP · 28/02/2025 17:20

You have to wait 12 months after stopping breastfeeding to have the op anyway. They won’t do it before then.
So you can see for yourself and make an informed decision.
A friend of mine went for a consultation and the consultant was really honest with her. Surgery wouldn’t have produced the results she wanted. So she decided not to have it done.

greatfrontage · 28/02/2025 17:21

Are you going to get pregnant again soon? Even if not, I'd be inclined to wait a year for sure anyway to see what they do when your hormones have settled down, and if you are planning another baby, wait a year after weaning that one, and then spend the money.

Ardelve · 28/02/2025 17:25

Definitely wait a while and see how things settle. 20 odd years ago I was thinking of doing the same, glad i didn't as things did improve naturally over time.

Really! That’s interesting! I think part of my issue is that the left one got much bigger and whilst the right one seems to be improving that one isn’t!
