Horrible ache six months post partum, not prolapse

I have searched and searched but can't seem to find someone with the same issue- have found similar but not quite the same. I'm six months post partum. Had an episiotomy and ventouse. My episiotomy wound opened fairly soon and was left to heal with open stitches. I was in agony for a long time. Ended up getting over granulation removed and also got a steroid injection to tackle deep scar tissue. Have been attending physio- getting tension in my wound released. No prolapse apparently- I've asked and been checked even while standing. I'm still experiencing an awful ache in my general pubic/ vagina area- like I've been wearing very tight pants or been kicked almost in my lady bits!! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be? Or what treatment I could get? At a loss and sick of feeling crap. Six months is a long time to be feeling like this. It's hard. So any help/ advice would be appreciated.

Is it constant or is it related to your cycle?

Thanks for your reply! It's fairly constant, worse at random times (not end of day specifically etc) I'm breastfeeding so no period yet and not related to my cycle as a result.

Hi op just wondering how you are now ?

I ended up needing physio for 9 months post partum- the physio had to release the muscle tension at every appointment. So the pain eventually went. Pregnant again now so apparently it can come back in 2nd trimester. We'll wait and see. Hope you are not suffering from something similar. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

I had that aching sensation for months after my son was born I was just curious as to what someone else was diagnosed with. No one could tell my why I had the aching sensation even private physio. Luckily it’s gone now but it took over a year! Can I ask did the steroid injection help at all?

can I ask how many weeks pregnant are you and do you feel ok? X
