How soon to recover from childbirth?

Looking for advice!!! 1st - 3rd births I recovered relatively quickly… after 3rd baby I was out and about within a couple of days. Have just given birth to 4th baby 2 weeks ago and I’m beginning to wonder if il ever recover. He was back to back and born very quickly. Since then I’ve been back in hospital with a womb infection ( which seems to have cleared with antibiotics) but I’m still having pain when walking and pain in my lower back and feeling of bruised buttocks!
Has anyone experienced similar? Will I ever feel recovered? It’s beginning to get me very down tbh 😢

Give yourself time, I wasn’t right for 3-6 months after DD. Very traumatic labour and early postnatal. I never thought it would get better, but ultimately it did improve
congratulations. Xxx

@LeopardPrintIsNeutral thank you for this! Being my 4th baby you’d think I might know but I’ve never experienced this before… but makes sense that a difficult labour and awkward baby position would make recovery longer! Just a nuisance it’s my final and not first as I could at least take it easy then 🙈! But you’ve given me hope!!!! Xx

Congratulations! You are epic, a heroine. Four babies is huge!!! Massive well done to you!
As the midwives say, 'Every baby's different.'
And I'd agree. Each time is different. As you probably know, having had a few. If you are still in pain, I would STRONGLY encourage you to see every medic you can and demand help loudly. As the saying goes, 'Doesn't ask, doesn't get'. They won't know you're struggling/in pain unless you tell them so loudly they can't ignore it so don't be a martyr.
Again, hugs and best wishes to a total badass!

I was on nerve pain meds for 10 months after one of mine. It can take a long time. Pelvic physio can be really helpful if it's not starting to heal after six weeks.
