Anxiety

I am 5 months PP and my anxiety has just sky rocketed. I just feel stressed and out of control pretty much constantly. It seems to have coincided with reducing my levothyroxine medication but it needed to be reduced so there is nothing I can do about that.
I am breastfeeding and really don't want to take anything that might go through the milk. Has anyone found any natural aids to reducing anxiety? Any advice would be much appreciated. I feel it is starting to affect my social interactions and making me not want to leave the house which I know will just exacerbate it.

Sorry to hear this 😢 have you spoken to your doctor about this? I found things like yoga and meditation really good for me. And also having a focus such as exercise or healthier eating, reading etc. have you got a partner? X

Thanks, I think the trouble is I have a toddler and the new baby and there is just so much to do all the time and the only time I get is from about 8pm to bed time and I am exhausted then and need to sleep, so I don't really have time for any self care at the moment. Maybe I need to try and find time for it. It's just hard when food needs to be cooked, washing done etc. 🫠
Yes I have a partner and he is very kind and supportive. I haven't spoken to the doctor yet but I will get an appointment.
I will try and give mediation a go. Thank you.

I know, it's so full on isn't it. I also started taking care of my skin more, which really helped. I also took a couple of hours out of a weekend and my husband had both of the kids, so I would batch cook meals so I just had to reheat them which helped a lot!

Oh you poor thing. This is such a hard time in your life, I’ve been there and the juggling and exhaustion is the worst! Don’t struggle alone, speak to your GP and say you still want to breastfeed. There will be something that helps. Also mention it’s coincided with you coming off that drug
it does get easier as they get older
