Fixing slacker breast

Breastfeeding has been a rough journey for me. I'm 3 weeks pp now and recently developed fissures and a bleb (milk blister) on my left breast which led me to feed with a nipple shield there and prioritise the right breast as the fissures healed. The bleb and fissures have resolved but now I've noticed that my right breast is being very productive and the left is slacking in terms of milk production. It's softer and even though I try to prioritise feeding with it, baby often falls asleep at it because I think there is less milk while the right one becomes engorged in the meantime. So I end up feeding her at the right to make sure she gets enough. I think the injury to the nipple and favouring the right breast has lead to this, but does anyone have tips on how to increase milk on the slacker breast while avoiding engorgement on the productive one? I'm worried about getting clogged ducts there.

It might be worth starting with the left one for a few days, so the baby is feeding from it when she’s hungry. Then switch her to the right one to reduce the engorgement after.

A hot shower and a bit of hand expressing always helped me with engorgement too.

If she’s falling asleep it probably means she’s had enough milk though, so I wouldn’t worry about that. It’s normal to have tiny amounts little and often.
