Maternity nurse and/or night nanny

Could anyone kindly share her/his experience/advice of maternity nurse or night nanny in London?
I’m looking for someone to help for the 1st month or 2 as I’ll be a new mom at the first time. Not sure if I’ll get any support from NHS for knowing what to do.
How much will the maternity nurse or night nanny cost roughly and what should I be cautious when choosing the helper?
Just think I might be a bit fragile at that moment so if not picking a good one then it would be a nightmare…
Thank you in advance.

Hello, my sister used a lady called Heather Sabourin Whitty who she swore by (but this was 11 years ago). Might be worth trying to find her though as she'll point you in the right direction. Otherwise my sister and her nanny have their own company called modernnannies.com and I'm sure Louise would be able to help. best, Janey

We had a night nanny for 10 days (2 days a week for 5 weeks) after my DS. It was £200 a night plus agency fee. You can get cheaper but people with less experience, which we didn’t want.

We used Tinies. They can send you a few CVs. It was worth every penny knowing you were going to get 8 hours straight sleep (we bottle fed).
