Hi
This is my first post :)
I am wondering if anybody can offer any advice (I am in my late 20’s)

I have always suffered extremely painful periods, before dd I would have agonising pain for an hour or two when I started my period and that was it, bleeding was light also

Since I have had DD (she is nearly 2) I have had extreme PMT upto 1 week before I am due on:
bad anxiety
hot flushes where I am dripping in sweat and can’t cool down, I go bright red in the face which is embarrasing if I am in a social situation and (sorry if tmi) the smell of sweat is reeeally strong
heart flutters
I feel dizzy and like I am on another planet
period pains up to 4 days before I actually start
really heavy bleeding (I use the heaviest pads and need to change every time I go for a wee and around every hour)
I have blood clots now aswell (some months not so much some more often)
the pain last week on my last period was that bad I would of called an ambulance :( I had to take 2 days off work the period pains didnt stop for 2.5 whole days
I have also felt really nauseous on the last period as well :(

period pains from top of my thigh to top of knee
back ache which last month went from bottom to the top of my back which stopped when I finish my period

I have had FULL bloods done and NOTHING came back and I have just been for an ultrasound and they said everything looks normal
Is there anything similar anyone has been through I feel like I am crazy on my period and im frightened of the pain every month :(
(I take co codamol tablets throughout period 1/2/3 a day when needed)

sorry to harp on I just feel like I am being fobbed off xx any advice would be so welcome x

So glad you've been checked out. I had very similar before having the DC. The PMS clinic tried several things, the main one that helped was taking a regular calcium supplement.

After the DC I had the Mirena Coil fitted and it's been life changing.

Thank you. Would the Mirena be an option for you @animallover12345?

Push your GP for a gynaecologist referral - no woman should have to suffer this much. Don’t be fobbed off. Perhaps keep a diary to show them.

I take Transexamic Acid (prescription) for heavy flow and I find this also helps a lot with the pain- this is the very least that the GP should have given you already.

Speak to GP and push for a referral. Be prepared for a long wait though unless you can go private. I've got a 6 month wait for my Gynae referral.

Ask GP if they can prescribe you Tranexamic acid (this lightens the flow) and Mefenamic acid (for the pain and inflammation).

Make a list of all your symptoms so you can go in with all the info to hand.

Don't take no for an answer, I'm going through similar and you really have to fight your corner to get them to take it seriously.

Good luck x
