Everything hurts 4 months later!

Birth was a dream, healed well and was out pushing pram less than a week later. However my whole body still aches from pregnancy and looking after a baby!

Reasonably fit before and have lost most of the baby weight, no stretch marks but:

My knees crunch
Sitting cross legged hurts
My back is tense
Shoulders hurt
Arm muscles hurt
Ribs ache when lying in bed
Bones in back randomly crack and muscles seize
Even my hands and fingers (???) Ache

Constantly feel like I've just ran a marathon or done some cross fit!

Does it get better? Anyone else feel like this? Or do I just have to wait until I have a self sufficient child who can walk?!

Love bring a mum but pregnancy has broken me. I do pilates and have nice relaxing hot baths and still feel like mike tysons opponent.

It's been a while since I had a baby but I can't remember feeling like that @Firsttimehumanmumx2dogmum

Are you getting any rest? I know that's a daft question when you've got a baby but it does sound as if you might need some recovery time lying on the sofa and watching crap tv

It takes a while to heal properly, however I also had aches and pains and went for blood test and found out I had overactive thyroid.

I supposed there’s nothing wrong in getting your bloods done to rule anything out.

How much sleep are you getting? Sleep deprivation can make the body ache. My 5 month old is going through a rough spell and I am miserable and achey, you're not alone! I'm only 32!
