Chest infection/one year injections

Hi , I am aware there are already threads on this subject but I'm hoping for some advice/reassurance.

So my little boy H had his one year injections just over two weeks ago now, and all of a sudden this week he has developed a temperature which calpol is bringing down; however I'm needing to give it regular (4hourly) to maintain temperature within the 'safe' range (highest it has been is 39 degrees). I have found if I don't give the calpol he has a high temp again, mainly through the night. On top of this he is very chesty and coughing.
I have spoke to the GP today who thinks H has a chest infection but not too concerned, advised me to keep doing what I'm doing but has prescribed antibiotics if he's no better over the weekend.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?! I can't help but feel it is related to his jabs but strange as it's outside of the 7-10 days post injections the nurse had warned me about.

Any experiences with your little one having chest infection? Did you give the antibiotics or ride it out? Any similar experiences to this post one year injections??

Thanks in advance x

I really do think it's a coincidence. Lots of people seem to have a chest infection at the moment.
