Post section - pushing buggy/driving?

Hi everyone. I am 2 weeks post section tomorrow and my 4 year old is going nuts sitting in the house. I am considering either a short drive to the park or a short walk this morning pushing the buggy - is either likely to be ok and which would you choose to do? I am still quite sore but our mental health matters too and we need to get out and about at some stage.

I don't drive but I was out pushing the buggy within 48 hours of my c section.

I didn’t drive that early on, but I was out with the buggy from a few sways post section. Just stick to flat ground and don’t lift/fold the buggy unless it’s very light.

Your car insurance may be invalid if you drive without getting medical approval. It's 6 weeks post surgery that's the norm X

I'd get the 4-year old to walk. 2 weeks is too soon to take the strain - you'll end up bleeding if you do too much too soon. You also need to check with your car insurer as some won't cover you until 6 weeks after a c-section.

Thanks everyone. We went a little walk to the shops and it lifted our mood just to get out for half an hour. I'm still bleeding anyway so no worries about setting bleeding off by doing too much Sad

You just need to be careful - doing too much can set off flooding.
