Nightmare postpartum hair - hairdressers/seasoned mums please help!

I had my baby in early 2020 and I'm now pregnant again and due the end of this year. My postpartum hair is a nightmare - the regrowth looks terrible and I just don't know what to do with it. I like having long hair but now and then I fantasize about just shaving my head! I can't tie it back without all the awful baby hairs standing out. Even using clips I feel like it just looks frizzy. I am aware it's going to fall out again and I'll be back to square one. I knew I would lose hair postpartum but I didn't realise how long it would take to get beyond the 'sticking out all over the place' stage. Any advice? Is this why the 'mum bob' (forgive the phrase) is a thing? Please tell me there's a miracle haircut I can ask for that doesn't involve cutting it all off.

I had similar, but mine only falls out towards the end of breast feeding so I end up with 6months of ongoing shedding that covers every surface, blocks the drains and clogs the vacuum.
My go-to items were the kerastase long hair serum, a good cut so it was growing it healthy, hair spray for fly always and headbands + clips. Good luck!

I have been diagnosed with telogen effluvium and female pattern alopecia. I have started taking Solgar Bioten 10000ug x2 per day. You can get it from iHerb and Amazon here in Australia, and you can probably buy it elsewhere also in UK. (Probably much cheaper for you.) My hair is growing much faster and the hair fall is much less. I have also been to a dermatologist who specialises in scalp problems (hence the diagnoses) and prescribed oral minoxidil and spironolactone.

I have found that trimming the dead ends of the regrowth, helps it grow .

I have been trimming two bits around my face and they are actually growing!

I think I was too drained to notice! Fringe helps if it's fuzz around the temples.

So much fuzz!

I have embraced the mum mullet for now.
