Strategies to stay sane

My LO is 6 weeks old. He's generally very unsettled and has colic and silent reflux. He's pretty challenging to look after and sleep is minimal. It's very hard to put him down because of the reflux and he hates being on his back.
I also look after my toddler who is 2.5 so I can't nap in the day.

Just wondered what strategies people have for staying as sane as possible in situations like this?

I've read and implemented loads on here for the baby about reflux and colic but what about how we look after ourselves? Any little tips and hacks to make the screaming and crying a little easier to live with? 😞

What is the hardest part of the day for you? For me when dd2 was small it was the afternoons, so after lunch I took dd1 and dd2 to the park and would try and get us to stay as long as we could. Sometimes dd1 would make a new friend and we would be out for a few hours.

For me its a change of scenery that helps, and I think the screaming feels so much louder within the house.

Hope it gets better for you soon. What I mean is, the baby will get over their colic and reflux over time but I hope you can cope with it better even sooner. We just had the colic and not the reflux and it's so hard. Most people really struggle with it so don't be hard on yourself!
