Just that really. Can I use all my usual face creams and serums etc, just making sure I don't use retinol or vitamin A? Thanks x

You've posted this in Postnatal. Is there a reason you think that you can't use these once you've had the baby?

There are certain things you can't use, vitamin A and retinol being ones I know about. Hence the question. And yes post natal as I'd breast feed.

Ah, didn't realise you were BFing.

I've honestly never seen the information on BFing and Retinol and Vitamin A. Have you got the links please?

I’m breastfeeding and using topical retinoids once a week. My friend is a midwife & did the same when she was breastfeeding.

I think if any could pass through milk, it would be absolutely minute. As long as it’s not oral retinoids!

I've had a loom and can't find an evidence based article saying not to use it. I think that's the trouble with google, lots of articles telling you what to do without being backed by any evidence.

Thought they you might find this old thread helpful Smile
