Postpartum wound - anyone can advise?

Hello ladies, apologies for TMI, but I really need an advise / if someone had same ..?
I can't find much info on postpartum wounds, as it seems this is the least spoken part of the entire process, but it is just is not more painful as the birth!

I had a natural delivery city several tears and lacerations all over the place... Nothing too serious though.

It looks a mess down there, but now on day 7 it looks like swelling gone down and I am just looking after various visible stocked up tears. However , I noticed that from vaginal area the postpartum discharge is as should be, no smell, but the area right below it, flesh is rather numb, very dark in colour and weeping a little bit of a smelly discharge. It's not from inside of me. It's from that little area below vaginal entrance...

Should I worry? I am applying antiseptic silver foam , wash it regularly and pay it dry. I wonder if I caused a burn / "killed the skin " by putting ice on that are in the first few post birth days, however never directly.

are you still under a midwife? I think it needs checking, or call the GP.

Is the smelly discharge coming from a wound? I think you need to see a doctor. If it might be infected it really needs checking out.

See the midwife, I had an episiotomy with my first and I thought the pain level was normal but it turns out the cut was infected. Felt a lot better after the antibiotics kicked in.

Just for context my midwife noticed my episiotomy was infected on day 5 and really wanted me to see a doctor. The smell was the give away I think. We ended up calling 111 as it was the weekend. Could you try that? They got me an appointment with an emergency gp within a few hours and I was prescribed antibiotics. Most importantly she was able to check the extent of the infection. I was checked out again later at hospital. Healed beautifully now but def needed the help.

Thank you ladies!
I have called my midwife for a visit, she checked it out and confirmed that something is not quite right. Saw the private gynaecologist that same afternoon. Turns out that vaginally everything is good and thank god- no sign of any infection yet, but the external wound was slightly infected, perhaps causing the perineum tissues underneath to swell ( it was very swollen and hence the high pain ). I was prescribed antibiotics and also will need to return to hospital to do some either stitch removal or re- stitching in the couple of days once the swelling has gone down. Stitches seem to come loose ...

I am surprised how little information, preparation for this is out there. It's all about pregnancy and the birth experience, but postpartum seems to be totally in the dark. I never expected it to be so challenging in times when a new mum should be in "top performance ".
