Hi :) I gave birth 4 weeks ago labour was natural had gas and air, the midwife told me I grazed (she said it’s worse than a tear) was in pain for 2weeks, but the last few days/weeks been feeling really sensitive in my lady area (Clit) I’ve had a look in the mirror it still seems to be abit red, is this normal too stil be sore, I find sitting down irritates it anything near my area just irritates it, advice would be lovely please :) I’m stressing

Hi @Cookie1234 - we're moving your thread over to our Postnatal Health topic in case anyone's around with some advice and support.

Congratulations on your new baby, by the way. Smile

Hi,

I had my baby three weeks ago. Also only had a graze in the same place and it's still sore and red so I'm assuming that's normal.

It's quite a sensitive area to graze I suppose. But it's starting to become a bit annoying that it's still sore.

Feel for you, hopefully we recover soon!! 💖

@Cookie1234 Hi, i also had what they galled a graze in labour which was now 9 weeks ago.
I know exactly the discomfort your talking about! I’m still suffering with it now, I’m hoping it’s going to go away.
I seen the nurse at 8 weeks post natal check & she wasn’t interested at all I’m also still bleeding which I’m not sure if it’s down to the graze.
Do you feel like your healing at all?

happygolucky6 · 06/08/2020 08:51

@Toosoontobe1 noooo that doesn't give me much hope 😭😭 I don't feel like it's getting any better to be honest, I know I'm only 3 weeks postpartum but everything else seems to feel like it's healed except that!!

I suppose with an actual tear they stitch it and it starts to heal but with a graze it's just left to itself to heal. I've had salt baths etc but still.

So sore though.

Toosoontobe1 · 06/08/2020 11:10

@happygolucky6 you would expect a graze to heal pretty quickly.
Hopefully you will be feeling better soon enough. I’m not sure if mine is still a bit irritated because of me still wearing pads due to still bleeding. Sorry but TMI here when I go the loo & wipe sometimes It feels like I’ve irritated it again.
We will all be back to our normal selfs soon🤞🏻

Hi guys sorry I didn’t reply, so I’m now 6 weeks in the pain is getting better so I’m assuming it’s healing, I went to the doctors yesterday who said I have a small prolapse because I can feel a slight bulge every time I go toilet, she’s told me to do pelvic floors for 4-6 months n see how I get on, that’s not reassuring at all!! Has anyone else had this?

@Toosoontobe1
9 weeks really? My midwife did say the more you wee it does irritate it but they gave me some antibiotics so that I wouldn’t get an infection, I guess it’s just a waiting game but it’s so frustrating isn’t it! @happygolucky6 how are you feeling now? Any better on the soreness? While we are on the subject has anyone found sex uncomfortable lol? Random I know but I tried the other day it was fine but been sore for few days is that normal? Also was worried about my prolapse ! Xx

@Cookie1234 better thank you I feel almost healed. And yes to sex being uncomfortable, it was enjoyable for about two minutes and then started to become really sore and about two days after I felt like I was back to square one with recovery 😨
