Episiotomy and second birth questions

Hi all,
I had an episiotomy in May 2018 and now expecting my second baby. I'm 6 months pregnant and noticed the side they 'cut' me for the episiotomy is beginning to throb / feel heavy.

Has this happened to anyone before? Or have you had an episiotomy and second birth? How was it? Did you tear again? Thanks!!

I had forceps and 3rd degree tear with DS1, had a large epitosomy with DS2 as he was stuck and failed with vontousse delivery and came out battered and bruised following three attempts at forceps. I'm pleased they did as it wasnt going well but I've been warned if I was to have a third they wouldn't allow me to deliver vaginally and I wouldn't go full term as I physically wouldn't manage the weight of baby (no worries there as 2 is enough for me)

However to answer your question - where I was scarred following first birth wasn't damaged again the second time and stayed fine Smile

Thank you everyone for your replies. I really do hope it goes smoothly for me. From reading these replies it seems it's a different experience for all, so I'll have to see on the day! Confused Many Thanks!!
