Loneliness

Hi everyone 😊
My little girl is 11 weeks old. She was born in lockdown and we haven't really been out at all or met anyone, apart from the odd walk here and there.
Is anyone else struggling with feeling lonely? My husband is great, but during the day when he's at work the loneliness kicks in! Just wish I had more people to talk to that feels the same way.
What do you do to try and cheer yourself up?

would you consider joining a few online baby classes?
tinytalk are offering online classes, whether they are live or not depends on your local area

3 house club are running virtual coffee mornings for mums each week, with a guest speaker at each one. You can sign up for the ones that appeal to you

I’m feeling lonely too. I imagine it’s not just us. Sorry I haven’t “cracked” it so just offering solidarity. Having a new baby can be isolating enough as it is even without lockdown. Flowers

I'm also feeling lonely. My baby is 12 weeks old. My partner works long shifts in the week so it's basically just me and my baby for 5 days. It's really hard some days but just trying to think it's not forever ❤️

Can imagine it's extremely hard - I found it hard enough in normal times. Definitely suggest finding local groups. Have you downloaded Mush and Peanut? They're sort of dating apps for new mums to meet each other

Me too. It's miserable having a tiny one in lock down. All the usual support is totally lacking - even little stuff like friends being round and holding the baby whilst you have a wee and drink hot coffee.
