A lot of pressure down there tmi warning

Sorry tmi info post here

So I’m having my first period since having my son 5 months ago and the pressure I have down below is unreal it feel like it’s about to turn inside out 😢 I can’t even sit on the toilet for 5 mins without feeling like my insides are about to drop out .

Thinking about it now I’ve not felt ‘right’ since giving birth like for instance if I am crouched down I get the same feeling of pressure and it’s uncomfortable and gets more and more uncomfortable until I sit on the floor (if I’m feeding my son at bottle in his chair for instance) and my bits actually hurt to sit on the floor

Is this normal? Is this part of childbirth and my ‘new’ bits? Obviously I’m going to ring the doctors tomorrow but I wanted to ask on here as I’m worried it’s a prolapse

I had a straight forward birth no complications I had slight testing of the labia but not enough to warrant stitching. I get I healed quick no issues with that either and bleeding stopped soon after

Thank you

It's not what I experienced OP. I hope the GP was of use.

Heya lovely, I have quite a few aches and pains down there if i walk too much or exercise and I’m 6months pp.
by the sounds of it you may have a vaginal prolapse x

Hi OP

Did you speak to your GP? I'm no expert but my bits ache whenever I get my period and I'm 11 months pp. Only when I have my period though, I feel all bruised and like I've been kicked between the legs

welshgirl20 · 29/04/2020 20:20

Yes me too OP! Exercise and a few days before and throughout my period.
Feels like I’ve pulled a muscle almost x

I got a coil fitted for this reason

Confused866 · 29/04/2020 20:33

It sounds like a prolapse, it’s common for it to be more prominent just before and during your period. Have you had a look?

I felt like this for ages after having my baby and definitely no prolapse, I asked at all of my midwife appointments and my partner 😂

I’m now 4 months on and very rarely get it now, only if I’m sat on the toilet for a while! I think it’s pretty normal.
