How to get help for pelvic floor

Hi, I’m 5 weeks post natal and I’m pretty sure I have a bladder prolapse (large bulge blocking vagina from the front, a heavy feeling, and not being able to stop pee midflow). I’ve got a phonecall consultation with my gp this Friday as my practice is no longer doing routine appointments due to corona virus. I really want to be referred ASAP to a pelvic floor physio but I’m not sure how likely this will be in the current situation or what the waiting list for the nhs will be. I’m lucky enough to be able to afford private healthcare so my other option normally would be to try and find a private physio but I don’t think any of them are still seeing patients, and I don’t know if a phone consultation would help? Ive been doing my pelvic floor exercises religiously (using the nhs Squeezy app) and I’ve started the MUTU programme, but I’m not sure where else I can go to to get some help. It’s really getting me down as I’m normally such an active and fit person Sad.

Does anyone have any ideas or even some positive stories that this isn’t the end of my active lifestyle as I know it?

Google diaghpragmatic breathing (I have probably spelled it wrong). It is a more effective way of strengthing your pelvic floor and contact your local women’s physio through your GP or HV

It may get a lot better on its own for you with the pelvic floor exercises as your very newly postpartum

Whole woman has some good tips

It happened to me after dc2 and like you It was very obvious what it was. It really got me down at first but it did get about 20% better with exercise

I have had a consultation with a consultant who said it was severe and only an operation would repair it
I have learnt to except it now and don't really notice it unless I'm on my feet all day

I will have the surgery for the repair when we are sure we are done with children

I know someone else who has had the repair recently and was really happy with results so that gives me hope
