Gave birth 3 months ago, just wondering what people's opinions are on my belly? Is it fat or loose skin ?

Separated stomach muscles imo.

Looks like a bit of fat, bit of loose skin, bit of swelling or fluid (possibly a lot). I wouldn't give yourself too much of a hard time about it, if you are. Looks like you could easily bounce back from there with a bit of diet and exercise when it's the right time.

I would say it's a bit of fat. My loose skin looks like a balloon that's been inflated and deflated many times. When I'm slim all over it looks worse.- puckered and tangy
When I'm chubby like I am now, -a good 5 stone overweight- it still looks very saggy and looks like a bumcrack below my belly button. Grin Yours doesn't look saggy like mine. Swap? Grin

Hangy not tangy haha

This could literally be a picture of me! I'm 3 and a half months post baby and look exactly the same as u! They say 9 months on and 9 months off. I'm walking a mile a day and I'll see how it goes. I also had a c section and have been told some saggy skin is inevitable so hey ho!

Boots20 · 13/01/2020 15:25

I would say neither, it just looks like a 3 month post partum tummy that is still shrinking back after growing a baby for 9 months.

NemophilistRebel · 13/01/2020 15:34

I looked like that at 4 months pregnant until 6 months pregnant

That’s fat. Loose skin tends to look a bit more leathery. My guess is for you the loose skin may come after you lose the fat - so you should probably keep moisturising the skin so it doesn’t get that dry, dull look.

It looks like separated stomach muscles. I would have a look for a physio near you offering mummy mot. I'm four months post partum, still two stone overweight but my tummy is flatter than yours from the physio exercises. Even within a couple of weeks it makes a massive difference and also to your strength and stability and helps protect you from injury like bad back. X

@hollywhiskey
What does a mummy mot look like? An assessment post birth? Thanks!

That's fat op. Loose skin kinda hangs wrinkly. And it's good news it's fat because fat is something you can do something about if you choose, loose skin generally take surgical intervention.
