When did you start to enjoy it?

My little one is 7 weeks old. I'm being medicated for pnd but just wondered if me not enjoying this time is due to that or if people generally dont enjoy it! If you didn't enjoy the first couple of months when did you feel like you enjoyed having your children. I love her...I just dont feel in love with having her if that makes sense. Sad

When he was 2 years 3 months and startling to communicate. He's lovely. I never believed it would happen but it did.
A lot later than everyone else but it did happen.

Sorry for the shock that you might feel reading that. But it grew bit by bit over the months - it wasn't like it happened over night.

This is so normal. Don't worry. Love will come.

My mum said to me it is a good job they learn to smile when they do because by 12weeks you are about ready to throw them out the window. Bit extreme I know but newborns are hard work.

Just give yourself time.

After the first 6-8 weeks it got easier/ I got more used to being a mum to my baby. Everyone is different, I know lots of people who say they loved the newborn phase but I couldn’t be happier to be fine with it. Some people find the toddler phase a struggle but I love it (MOSTLY).
